The Mis-selling of PPI
Right now, most people in the UK are doing what they can to stay inside their budgets, which have been stretched to extremes by the current financial climate. Saving money and bringing in more cash is a priority for many and PPI claims have been used by many to try and get back payments that have been unnecessarily made.
The mis-selling of PPI has been well documented across the press and was recently brought to the fore once again with the decision at the High Court. The ruling, which went in favour of the consumer, has sounded the bell for the continuance of PPI claims to be handled.
As well as claim handling resuming, the banks are no doubt set to receive a whole host of new PPI claims as awareness is raised by the high profile case. Unless the decision is over-turned, the banks themselves will have to approach customers and offer refunds for mis sold PPI policies.
